"Spogulīt, spogulīt" ('Mirror, Mirror') by Prāta Vētra (BrainStorm)
Music by Renars Kaupers   Lyrics by Renars Kaupers  & Udritis

When I think of Fabrika, this lovely song immediately comes to mind. It was a favorite with the Fabrikanti, especially the girls. The translation below is literal. In fact, Brainstorm released an English version with entirely different lyrics, titled 'Hide On the Moon',

Spogulīt, spogulīt ..saki man tā,
Kura visā pasaulē ir visskaistākā?
Mirror, mirror tell me so,
Who in the whole world is the most beautiful?
Un viņš teica:
"Nav nozīmes meklēt paradīzē vai peklē,
Bet ja reiz satiksi to, sauksi par savējo."
And he said:
"It makes no sense to search in paradise or in hell
But once you meet her, you will call her yours."
Spogulīt, spogulīt ..saki man tā,
Kura visā pasaulē ir vismīļākā?
Mirror, mirror tell me so,
Who in the whole world is the sweetest?
Un viņš teica:
"Nav nozīmes meklēt paradīzē vai peklē,
Bet ja reiz satiksi to, sauksi par savējo."
And he said:
“It makes no sense to search in paradise or in hell
But once
you meet her, you will call her yours."
"Viņa būs līdzās, kad viss kārtībā,
Viņa būs līdzās, kad Tev nav nekā,
Viņa būs Tava, Tavējā!"
"She will be with you when everything is OK
She will be with you when you have nothing
She will be yours, yours"
Spogulīt, spogulīt, nāc man palīgā!
Kura ir tā īstā, vienīgā?
Mirror, mirror, come and help me
Who is that real one, that only one?
Un viņš teica:
"Nav nozīmes meklēt paradīzē vai peklē,
Bet ja reiz satiksi to, sauksi par savējo."
And he said:
"It makes no sense to search in paradise or in hell
But once you meet her, you will call her yours.
"
"Nav nozīmes meklēt paradīzē vai peklē,
Bet ja reiz satiksi to, sauksi par savējo."
"It makes no sense to search in paradise or in hell
But once you meet her, you will call her yours."
"Nav nozīmes meklēt paradīzē vai peklē,
Bet ja reiz satiksi to, sauksi par savējo,
Par savējo,
Par savējo,
Par savējo.
“It makes no sense to search in paradise or in hell
But once you meet her, you will call her yours.
Call her yours,
Call her yours,
Call her yours.
